About Us
Humble Beginnings & The Apprenticeship -
A box of rusty old Scalextric and paper cut outs of track made up the first track plan.
I bought collapsible tables and threw up some black painted timber boards. A few HO scale
trees and that was how it started off in 1996. A year later I had serviced most of the pubs
in my area and the sponsors at Mount Panorama as my first Corporate gig.
Today I look back and realise that it was those hard yards in the pubs and clubs which were
to form the basis for an ability to deal with the public in all situations, and the rule came
in "No drinks on the track"
Today -
Today Mega Trax goes forward as Australia's premier mobile raceway/construction service.
Run, owned, and operated by one person, this has been on occasions a monumental task
logistically and practically. After years of learning the ropes in the entertainment
industry, working in with the best Event Management and PR/Communication companies,
the mobile raceway service supplies a professional hands on service capable of delivering
HIGH-OCTANE action packed entertainment which continues to deliver for the major events
and promotions across Australia.
Stay tuned for active flowing waterfalls and massive cliffs
and above ground road sections for 4 lane landscapes which you'll be able to buy
and place your track on and around - THE BEST IS YET TO COME !
Construction is charged at $50 per hour with a minimum non-refundable deposit of 50% with balance
payable on all works pre-shipment. No raceway or replica is too hard, no track is too small,
no track is too big and I'm always happy to push the envelope and build bigger and faster
raceways no matter what size. Stay tuned to see what's coming in 2008/2009, this year holds
many exciting prospects for racewyas here in Australia and abroad.
Into The Future -
Although much of the time I am on-the-road for events, I am always happy to offer advice
to those of you that want to build a landscape for your track at home. The one thing that
keeps me interested in this business is the fact that at the end of the day "this is my hobby",
and that keeps me interested in producing better landscapes, better events and an even better
service as each year passes by. I aim to open a raceway centre with a large model Mount Panorama
in 2008 which will be fully licensed. Thanks for stopping by, feel free to
email me and leave your comments, and if it's a landscaped raceway or slot cars that you need
for your event, you've come to the right place.
Regards
Matt Young
